QUARRYING
Rock Splitting
The AutoStem 9mm Cartridges are used to "split" or "fragment" small and large oversize rocks for Sea Wall or River Protection purposes or simply for reducing the Oversize Rocks ready for crushing. The same simple process used in this video applies for all rocks. Very cost effective when compared with Hydraulic Rock Breakers and AutoStem will actually split large rocks accurately in half. This is not possible with Hydraulic Rock Breakers.
Bench BlastingÂ
The AutoStem 43mm, 500g and 83mm 1700g Cartridges are ideal for Quarry Bench Blasting, particularly shallow bench heights of up to 6m. Blasted Rock has basically no fines and therefore more yield is created per blast.
Rock FragmentingÂ
The AutoStem 17mm Cartridges are used to "split" or "fragment" larger oversize rocks for Sea Wall or River Protection purposes or simply for reducing the Oversize ready for crushing. The same process used in this video applies for all rocks.
Borehole Loading Example
AutoStem Cartridges are usually separated inside the borehole when loading offering a decoupled blast with little to no fly-rock risk, low vibration and "chunky" fragmentation with little to no fines.
